United States of Credibility

Artwork exploring what is valued most in major cities across the U.S.A. by Pam Daniels. 2025. India ink and Flashe on laser-cut plywood, with a nylon textile flag.

What earns credibility and respect seems to vary from place to place. In my view, work is what is held in highest regard in the midwest (watch The Bear if you want a crash course on what matters in Chicago). In San Francisco, the caliber of your ideas is what makes you cool.

What do you feel gets the most r-e-s-p-e-c-t where you live?

The work measures 12 x 19 1/2 inches and was submitted for inclusion in the Small Works Member Show at Woman Made Gallery in Chicago. If selected, this piece will be on display in Nov-Dec 2025.
