Chicago Ideas Week: Living to 100

five people on a stage sitting in red chairs

I loved having the opportunity to contemplate what happens when people live longer than ever before as part of a panel during Chicago Ideas Week.

The systems we're living with, from Social Security to 401ks and IRAs to nursing homes– have been designed with particular needs and aims in mind. But we don't have to consider only how we can fit a shifting society into the patterns of the past, we can redesign the systems we created in the first place.

It was a joy to share the stage with my fellow panelists Ian Hartman-O'Connell from the AARP, Ilyce Glink of Best Money Moves, and Jim Sullivan of AbbVie, along with our host Eddie Aruzza of WTTW.

You can watch the talk below and link to it here too.
